Position Description:
We are looking for a strong, self-motivated backend developer for a full time position. In this role you will be working with our front-end team on developing and improving our platform alongside client APIs and algorithms that support unique flows of our users. We believe in making your own job description therefore your responsibilities are as wide as you can manage.
What you will be doing:
- Shape, define and implement our backend services and applications
- Collaborate with people in other disciplines for the production and delivery of project deliverable
- Work on our APIs for our mobile and web client as well as the interface for our algorithms
- Innovate and Implement new technologies to keep our platform ahead of the game
What you need to join the team:
- Our system is complex and needs someone who has meticulous attention to detail
- 5+ Years of experience in building backend services and RESTful APIs in any of Golang, Python, Java, Nodejs etc.
- BS/MS in CS, or equivalent
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant backend
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
- Working with distributed and scalable systems is an advantage
- Prior experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j) and distributed messaging systems (NSQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka etc.)
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Implementing automated testing platform and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code version tools, such as Git
- Experience working in Agile development
