Seeking a PHP developer with 5+ years of design and development experience. Candidate responsible for maintaining existing PHP applications and new PHP software implementations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dynamic websites, web applications and web services using PHP
- Develop database objects to interact with front and middle tier applications
- MySQL Database management (IBM DB2 / AS400 is a plus)
- Lead / Mentor junior developers on best practices
- Develop and maintain coding standards using industry best practices
- Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements
- Document requirement and design specifications
- Perform quality control on deliverables
- Coordinate with development team and other departments to complete tasks
- Send regular updates about project status
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Expert level in PHP (5.3-5.5), MySQL, CSS, HTML, Javascript &/or jQuery, AJAX, XML
- Proficient building database objects including views, procedures, functions
- Experience using modern MVC frameworks
- Familiarity with Object Oriented Design Patterns, Git source control, and responsive design
- Experience with SOAP and JSON API programming
- Experience with UI/UX design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Familiarity with command line instructions using Linux
- Ability to complete projects with strict deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor degree in information systems or equivalent
- Experience with Jira a plus
