Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to teams of developers providing application maintenance and support service to multiple eCommerce clients
  • Evaluate work product delivered from various teams of developers
  • Ensure code development follows a prescribed work flow from issue identification through testing to completion of development
  • Oversee and improve upon code management strategies to ensure consistently clean client code releases
  • Recommend solutions based on code delivered for other Amplifi clients
  • Working with a team of ATG developers bringing significant expertise in ATG design patterns, Java and J2EE coding and design patterns, code expertise in coding within the eCommerce space with multiple integration patterns
  • Performance Tuning of ATG Applications
  • Ensure application architecture standards, policies and procedures are implemented and followed
  • Work with business user teams to discuss, recommend, explain, and reconcile desired functionality and technology capabilities.
  • Design for high performance and growth to ensure that the application is highly scalable and can support high volumes of traffic
  • Help diagnose and resolve escalated production performance and stability issues

Background / Experience

  • Five years of experience in Software Development or Programming & Analysis, including Commerce Search Platforms, such as ATG Search and/or Endeca, 3rd party system integrations, ATG (10.0.2 and/or 9.1) and Java, J2EE, and Javascript. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications, IT or related field
  • Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience as noted above

Necessary Skills / Attributes

  • Ability to think strategically and drive development strategies and tactics that produce faster turnaround on features and world-class performance
  • Understanding of interrelationships and the impact of systems and applications upon the enterprise wide technical environment
